Latin alternative singer-songwriter LaPRETA takes on a new, electronic sound in her new EP: Desconocida, to be released digitally on October 28th.

The EP is Cydney’s first release since Conciencia Criminal, launched nearly three years ago in Guatemala City. Desconocida features Cydney’s signature catchy melodies, inquisitive lyrics and powerful voice, but takes on a fresh sound with electronic beats and spacey synths.

Cydney co-produced the album with Juan Carlos Barrios, lead guitarist in the Guatemalan band Bohemia Suburbana (Las Olvidadas, La Confianza) and Rodrigo Rosales of Tijuana Love (Feel the Night). The song Feel the Night was also co-written with singer-songwriter Jonathan Carrion.
